Why Aavameri
Born from a life in the islands.
Aavameri grew out of a long love for the Archipelago Sea — its island communities, open horizons, sheltered sounds, birds, seals, shallow bays, warm granite after sunset and rough days when the wind decides what is possible. More than 30 years in these waters have taught us that good sea kayaking is not about conquering the archipelago, but about reading it, respecting it and always wanting to return.
Our work is built on skill, local knowledge and a wish to create experiences that stay with our guests long after the trip is over. We want every tour, course and expedition to be useful, safe, personal and memorable — for the people who come with us, and for the archipelago we move through. That means cooperating with islanders, using small harbours and local services, choosing routes with care, and doing our work in a way that brings something good back to this sea.
